These musicians are full-time, professional, working musicians hailing from Charlotte, NC. All band members are college-educated with undergrad and masters degrees in all styles of music. These cats are the "real deal." Hipshack earned the honor of being acknowledged in Modern Bride Magazine as one of 150 best wedding bands for hire in the USA, 2005-2008!
Besides performing hundreds of clubs, colleges, festivals, corporate events and venues throughout the United States, Hipshack's most recent successes include performing throughout the US for Microsoft, Carolina Panthers, Charlotte Bobcats, US Tennis Association, ESPN/Tennis Channel, US Open, Davis Cup and Fed Cup Tournaments; appearing in the Farrelly Brothers film, ”Shallow Hal” as well as opening and performing for such artists as Edwin McCain, Michael McDonald, Steely Dan, Jack Black, Mother’s Finest, Charlie Hunter, Mr. Ray Charles & Regina Belle. Showcases include performing for the New York International Independent Film Festival at Madison Square Garden (Hipshack won "Best Movie Soundtrack" for “A Bettor’s Life”) and APCA and NACA Regional & National Showcases.
